If you are looking for a Holy Land Christian Tour that is different from other Israel travel, you’ve found the right place. Puzzle Israel would like to tell you a little bit about how we differ from other Israel tours in our Christian Israel tours. Gain a more meaningful experience and get more out of your Israel vacation and Holy Land tour.
Like so many Israel tours, most Christian tours offered are “hop-on hop-off” Israel tours. Tourists are taken to the well known Christian sites, get off the bus to look around, and get back on the bus to the next location. In addition, the accommodation on these Christian Israel tours, as well as the cuisine offered, is usually from basic to moderate in quality. The fact that so many tours operate this way helped Puzzle Israel understand how as an Israeli Tourism company that is in love with the country, wants to do things differently. Puzzle Israel is facing this problem head on, showing some of the true gems of Christianity in Israel not by hopping on and off a bus, but by truly following a narrative and appreciating each and every site. Each tour offered by Puzzle Israel is complemented by specifically well chosen quality accommodation and wonderful food.
The “Norm”: A Bland Look at Christianity in Israel
I would like to tell a story about an experience I had with a Christian themed tour I joined a few years ago. I joined a lovely group of ladies as an “Israeli escort” during their week long vacation in Israel. During the week, I found that we were jumping from site to site, not truly allowing for appreciation of the beauty or the history. Since we were driving from place to place, we were also rushed at every stop in order to make the next appointment in time. In five days, we had one Tel Aviv day where we saw St. Peter’s Church, a Jerusalem day where we visited the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, a Galilee day where we saw the Church of Beatitudes and Capernaum, and two relaxing days, one at the Dead Sea and one in Zichron Yaakov. At the end of the week, I felt as though my country was not represented as she should have been. Israel is full of hidden gems, wonderful cuisine and culture and hold relevance to all religions and ethnicities. Instead of offering a colorful and varied view of Christianity in Israel, these lovely ladies only saw the “must see” sites and not the additional less known but just as important sites.
Puzzle Israel’s View: Christianity’s Colorful History in Israel
Just like in Judaism, Christianity is not made up of just one set of beliefs or stories. Therefore, no tour should be just a general “Christian tour”, rather Israel tours that touch on the points that are truly important to the travelers. Puzzle Israel decided to split up the Holy Land Christian Israel tours into three – Catholic, Anglican/Protestant, and Orthodox – in order to give the ultimate experience to every type of traveler. Puzzle Israel believes in showing the colorful history of Christianity in Israel, as well as the present day Israeli culture on all its levels.
